Publish a WDN coordinate on physical media

In order to ensure the traffic of their business place, the merchants essentially ask that the postal address be registered on their website and advertising leaflet, to be correctly located by new potential customers.

The GeoWDN application has been specially created to simplify locating a place on Earth.  Much simpler than a postal address, than GPS geolocation (Galileo and GLONASS), or even search on the global database, this application allows you to activate and use a WDN coordinate.

A WDN coordinate is a simple textual code of 7 to 10 letters and digits, similar to a postal code or vehicle registration.  No esxternal database is required to support the geographic information of a WDN coordinate.  This textual code can therefore be easily written on any physical media (such as a real business card or advertising leaflet).

Publish a WDN coordinate on an electronic media.

Here is some specific information in HTML fragment for the webmaster, which should answer the basic questions for displaying a WDN coordinate on a website.

Ideally, on an electronic medium, a WDN coordinate should be preceded by the application icon that has a link on the GeoWDN application webpage https://geowdn.erusen.com.  But it is possible to put the link according to the language of the website!

https://geowdn.fr.erusen.com for the French !

https://geowdn.en.erusen.com for the English !

This page allows visitors to choose the download link for the GeoWDN application for Apple iOS or Android™.

It is allowed to download and use these icons in any HTML page, provided that this page makes the publication of WDN coordinates, and associated with them the appropriate link to download the GeoWDN application.  Using these icons with an inappropriate link, or without a link, is not allowed.

It is recommended to use the xxx icon when a WDN coordinate is published.  In some situations, even on electronic media, in case the icon could not be used, the colored text "WDN" or "GeoWDN" could also be used as a substitute.  It is also recommended not to use a separator other than a simple space, as in the following examples.

Here, for a visual illustration, the URL links are not integrated.  The WDN coordinate is displayed by an HTML fragment to use the character type "menlo" with the color "#FF771D" to show the association to the GeoWDN application.  The following text is optional.

However, it is better to use the xxx icon in other situations, when it is not directly a WDN coordinate that is published.  This allows us to distinguish the loading of multiple coordinates by using the URL wdncoorbundle.  The "Bundles" page contains a lot of fully functional examples.

URL: wdncoordinate://GeoWDN

Use the URL wdncoordinate to load and automatically open a WDN coordinate from the GeoWDN application.  The description is optional by the text that follows the ": ".

<a href="wdncoordinate://GeoWDN?
Je2.DW6.VP Le phare d'Alexandrie: Égypte">
<font size="5" face="menlo" style="color:#FF771D"> Je2.DW6.VP </font></a>

URL: wdncoorbundle://GeoWDN/The Group

Use the URL wdncoorbundle to load multiple WDN coordinates by the GeoWDN application.  For each, the description is always optional, but the group is mandatory.  However, loading is limited to 29 WDN coordinates and 179 waypoints. To load a larger quantity, a certification from Erusën inc is required.  This certification may be free of charge, if the applicant meets certain criteria (public utility or non-commercial).

Contact Erusën inc at geowdn@erusen.com (subject: Certification).

Publish on physical media.

When published on physical media, the colored text "WDN" or "GeoWDN" could be preferred instead of the application icon.  In the situation of a physical media, there is no possible URL link for downloading the GeoWDN application.  Then, only a search from a text remains possible, and the name of the application is quite indicated.  But the icon remains a valid option to reduce visual space usage.

Publishing a WDN coordinate on a business card is as easy as writing a postal code on it when required, instead of or in addition to a QR code.

A final recommendation, which is also valid on physical media,  is the use of the colour "#FF771D" and a font that easily distinguishes zero '0' from the letter ‘O’ uppercase, for example "menlo".  Display the vowels in lowercase, will always be better.
